Questions we hear most

Are pets welcome?+

Certain ground-floor suites and our Garden Villas accept pets on request, with a one-off cleaning charge added to your stay. We provide a complimentary welcome amenity for your dog (bed, bowls, treats), a walking service twice daily, and grooming on request. Cats may stay in carriers but our suites have no litter facilities — please tell us ahead of time.

Can you host private events?+

Yes. Our two ballrooms, eight private dining rooms, beach pavilion, and rotunda can be hired privately, seating from eight to four hundred guests. Weddings and milestone celebrations are a particular joy of ours; our events director prepares a proposal within forty-eight hours of a first enquiry.

How far is the airport?+

Roughly thirty-five minutes by private car along the coastal road in typical traffic, or fifty-five minutes if your driver chooses the scenic inland route through the vineyards (we suggest this on arrival days when time is flexible). By helicopter from the resort helipad, the trip is twelve minutes door-to-door.

Is there a dress code?+

Smart casual is expected after sunset in our dining rooms and on the main casino floor. Gentlemen should wear closed shoes and a collared shirt; a jacket from our cloakroom is available on request. Beachwear is fine at the pools and lagoon bars during the day. Trainers, beachwear, and swim shorts are not allowed in the main restaurants from 19:00 onwards.

A Note From The Owners

Raised one room at a time.

When we opened in 1981 we had six rooms, a kitchen, and one rule: guests are not units of revenue, they are people we have invited home. 45 years later we have 100 keys, two restaurants and a casino floor — and that rule has not shifted an inch.

There is a way to do this work and a way not to. Over 45 years we have chosen one path and held to it. Every person on our team — from the front desk to the kitchen porters — has been selected, trained and retained because they share the same instinct for what good looks like. That is not something a building can manufacture alone. It comes from people.

We hope you will visit and judge for yourself. And, when you do, we hope you will tell us where we fell short, so that the next 45 years improve on the last.

Culinary Delights

Three restaurants, one Michelin star, and a kitchen garden whose harvest decides tomorrow’s menu. Our chefs do not invent seasonal plates — they let the season write itself onto the dish, every morning, in pencil.

02

Live Entertainment

Jazz evenings in the main bar, headline acts in the rotunda, and intimate lounge sets four nights a week. The pianist on Thursday has been here for years. Some guests travel solely to hear him.

High-stakes tables in private salons, no spectators, no cameras, no hurry. Personal hosts arrange transfers, dinner, and discretion. Membership is by invitation, though a single weekend stay is often enough to earn one.
